VO Beauty Brand Review

Intro to VO Beauty

VO Beauty is a small brand that provides a “simple collection of easy-to-use skincare products that covers all the essentials you need in your daily routine.” They are consciously sourced and cruelty-free. Another selling point are their careful formulations: all their products are made without parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulphates and harmful preservatives. The founder, Diana Vo, is an esthetician with 10 years of experience. I was introduced to this brand by a fellow skincare blogger and content creator, @skincareaholic and can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with them.

So far, I have tried their recently released cleansing balm and their three masks. Read on to see what I think of each product!

Milky Melt Away Cleansing Balm

In her first product beyond masks, Diana created a plant-powered, natural, and fragrance-free face cleansing balm that transforms into a milky, silicone-free emulsion when mixed with water. It effectively dissolves makeup, dirt and excess oils without stripping the skin.

I just finished my first jar of this beautiful balm and really loved it! It felt like a similar sensorial experience to the Deviant Cleansing Concentrate (my holy grail first cleanse). I really appreciate how it is specially formulated for acne prone skin. If you struggle with cleansers, I would highly recommend checking this one out.

Manuka Glow Mask

VO Beauty Manuka Glow Honey mask

This mask is absolutely gorgeous! I love honey in skincare – it is such a nourishing and hydrating ingredient. (Read this brand review to learn about another honey product I’m obsessed with!)

The manuka glow mask has the gentlest exfoliation when you wash it off. It is a bit drippy and can get a bit messy – I’d recommend not moving around much while wearing it! I love using this in the mornings to get a little bit of a refreshed glow before starting my day. It’s also a nice lip exfoliator (as the mask often drips into my lip/nose area and I am willing to admit I’ve occasionally licked it off!) It leaves my skin soft and smooth.

Rose Jelly Sleeping Mask

Raise your hand if you’re a fan of roses! This lightweight gel overnight mask will have you smelling like your favorite flower.

I love using an overnight mask to seal in all of my products at the end of a routine. The YTTP dream mask that I reviewed here is one of my favorites, but in warmer temperatures I prefer to reach for less heavy masks like this one. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is left hydrated and plump.

Ocean Goddess Detox Mask

VO Beauty Ocean Goddess Mask

This is the VO Beauty mask that I’ve used the least of the three, since it is newer to their collection. It comes in a powder form; this is both very interesting and also quite frustrating, since I have not figured out a good way to mix it. It seems like I waste a lot of the product, and it isn’t easy to achieve a spreadable consistency. I have tried mixing it with the manuka glow mask and liked that but I still haven’t fully cracked the code. In spite of my ineptness with the powder, I like the detoxing effects this mask has, especially with clarifying acne, and that it does not have an intense drydown.

Final Thoughts on VO Beauty

If you’re looking for clean, simplified skincare, I recommend giving VO Beauty a look. Diana runs a small business that puts out effective, enjoyable products & her efforts worth supporting. I look forward to trying more from this brand in the future!
