Supplement Review: How Zitsticka’s Skin Discipline Keeps Acne in Check

Why am I so excited about Zitsticka’s new supplement, Skin Discipline? If you’re reading this blog, you’re probably at least a little bit interested in skincare. And I can probably guess your skin isn’t exactly where you want it to be, right? Mine isn’t either. I’ve been a skincare enthusiast for 4 years or so and a blogger/content creator for almost 2, and my skin is still on an utter rollercoaster. I try out lots of products to help out my skin, finding some favorites along the way (like this utterly incredible brand). Zitsticka’s other product, their Killa Kit patches, have been a game-changer in fighting acne; Read my review here!

But at some point, topical treatments just don’t cut it. Part of total skin health is healing it from the inside; and that’s where Zitsticka’s new supplement, Skin Discipline, enters the game.

What is the Zitsticka Skin Discipline supplement? What does it do?

Skin Discipline is a powerful formulation of vitamins, minerals, probiotics and fatty acids that work to minimize breakouts in three ways: easing surface level inflammation, regulating sebum levels, and balancing skin-supportive bacteria.

What’s in this supplement?

Skin Discipline is jam-packed with what Zitsticka likes to call “skin heroes.” It contains zinc to regulate sebum (or oil) activity, omega-3 to soothe your body’s inflammatory response to excess sebum/toxins, selenium to minimize breakouts and heal damage quicker, niacin to regulate sebaceous gland activity, and a probiotic blend that has been proven to impact the “gut-brain-skin” axis with their anti-inflammatory properties. You can read more of the ingredients here, to see just how many acne-fighting superstars are included!

How much does Skin Discipline cost?

This supplement costs $44 for a 30-day supply, and is cheaper if you choose the subscription option.

Does this supplement work?

Skin Discipline is very effective. After a month I saw less active acne & inflammation along my jawline, my personal problem area. I also noticed that my cystic spots were not as angry and severe as they had been in the past. While I still get acne (it’s almost impossible to not have acne as an equestrian), this supplement has greatly reduced the severity and quantity.

However, this supplement will only work if you stick with it! It takes about 3 months to experience the full impact. As Zitsticka explains on the product information site, your skin will go through three phases:

  1. Acclimation (Month 1): micronutrients begin to sync with your body, building familiarity and tolerance within your systems. You should see subtle yet positive changes.
  2. Optimization (Month 2): here you will see improved gut health and optimized nutrient levels. Your skin should appear more balanced and clear. By week 8, you will experience a more even complexion.
  3. Maintenance (Month 3+): Here’s where you get the big benefits! You will see striking improvements in clarity, tone and texture. Fewer zits!! This is where I’m at in my journey. I noticed a lot less acne, and far less temptation to pick at my face.

Once you’re in the maintenance phase, you need to keep going! Skin health from the inside out doesn’t have an end date.

Before & Afters:

But don’t just take my word for it! See for yourself with these before & afters:

How quickly will I see results?

As outlined above, you may start seeing results in the first month. However, your most significant changes will occur in months 2 and 3. After month 3, your skin will settle into a “maintenance” mode.

Is Skin Discipline the best acne supplement?

It is the best acne supplement for maintaining gut health and improving skin clarity. There are other acne-fighting supplements, such as the ones offered by HUM nutrition, but these are not as all-encompassing as Skin Discipline.

Is Skin Discipline worth it?

Skin Discipline is definitely worth it to me! For $44/month, I have significantly clearer skin and better skin tone, texture and clarity. That’s a price worth paying!
